2018 - When it all began
Fran was thriving at Trade Me, but the traditional 9-to-5 wasn’t her peak performance window. She wanted flexible hours, varied creative work, and more time for family. So, she built Virtual Marketers around that idea.
Today, we’re driven by one thing: giving NZ businesses real access to exceptional marketing, and giving our marketers the freedom to do their best work on their own terms.

We provide total flexibility to scale hours up or down as you grow.
We work on focused, one-off projects all the time! While our “happy place” is building ongoing, long-term partnerships, where we truly embed ourselves in your brand, many of our longest client relationships actually started with a single project.
It’s entirely your call. We’re proudly remote-first, which means no fancy office overhead costs passed on to you. Our team lives in awesome spots across New Zealand. We can collaborate seamlessly via Google Meet, or pop into your office for strategy sessions and creative brainstorms.
You get seasoned marketers matched specifically to your business goals and specialisation. Fran and Alana lead our internal team of marketing specialists, ensuring top-tier strategy and creative execution every time. When we require specific skills, we tap into our large pool of trusted marketing specialists who we collaborate with on a regular basis. You always get experienced, dedicated marketing experts driving your marketing forward.
Our Marketing Teams start from $2,400 + GST a month. If you’d rather scope a single project (a website, a strategy, an audit), our fees start from $1,300 + GST. We’ll always agree the right requirement with you before we start work.
Most clients are up and running within a week or two. This gives us enough time to properly understand your business before your dedicated Marketing Manager and team hit the ground running. Often we start with a kick off onboarding workshop.
Yes. While we’re proudly NZ-based and a certified NZ-made service, we work with clients across New Zealand, Australia, and the UK.
No lock-in contracts. We work month to month, with only one month’s written notice required, so you’re never stuck paying for a team you don’t need anymore.
Alongside our full Marketing Team model, we offer standalone services too. These include social media management, Google Ad campaign management, website builds, and brand design, so you can start with exactly what you need and add more as you grow.
